With senior executives from a range of organisations in attendance, the event provided a prestigious forum to exchange strategies and explore solutions shaping today’s technology landscape.
transACT’s Will Chalmers, AWS Solutions Architect, was joined by the Digital and Technology Services Business Manager at the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS), who presented a compelling case study on the organisation’s cloud transformation journey. Core challenges included unifying eight separate fire services into one centralised entity, migrating life-critical call centre operations – requiring multiple layers of redundancy and the ongoing transition of all remaining services from legacy data centres to the cloud. A key achievement was connecting over 7500 staff to centralised systems using AWS, overcoming significant infrastructure limitations with a secure, scalable cloud-first solution delivered by transACT.
